In the future; clothes for protection only

If you're not wearing clothes for protection, why are you wearing them?
Vanity?
To show-off?
To hide your body?

Wearing clothes for protection only

There is only one acceptable reason to wear clothes.
Protection!
Clothes can effectively guard your body against:
● Cold temperatures,
● Rainy and windy conditions,
● Intense sunlight,
● Wounds and injuries while working.
But, that's it.
You can question the motivations behind any other use of clothes.
The irony is that many people fail to wear clothes to protect themselves, with the expected consequences, because they want to look cool and attractive.

Wearing clothes to beautify yourself is aggressive and vain

Trying to show your superiority by concealing yourself behind beautiful clothes doesn't make sense.
It becomes a contest for the most outlandish costumes.
But, for people who aren't interested in such vanity, fancy clothes only display someone's fakeness, hostility and rivalry.

Wear simple, modern and non-ethnic clothing

Change your wardrobe for non-competitive clothing.
You can still look good when you wear ordinary clothes.
For women; say goodbye to fancy dresses and accessories.
For men; say no to suits and ties.
Make sure no brand name or lettering is present.
Go for single color clothing elements.
On your feet, only wear shoes you can run with.
But, most of all, stay away from any head-wear: hats, veils, caps, scarves, ...

Going towards nudity in the future

One day, most humans will consider clothes as unnatural.

There is no doubt in my mind that the humans of the future will try to wear as little clothing as possible.
They will have understood the benefits of exposing their skin to the elements and realized all the problems generated by wearing clothes.
Our prudish laws don't make sense, and I expect that our descendants will insist on their right to be nude.

Mandatory nudity?

There has to be a way to convince individuals who won't remove their clothing.
Our descendants may have to resort to mandatory nudity in some areas of society.
Wearing clothes when you don't need to is unfair, and people who do it have to be considered as cheaters.

Partial nudity, covering the genitals and buttocks; an acceptable clothing compromise

Even if complete nudity seems essential in some situations, such as selecting a mate, it is generally not a acceptable:
● in areas where humans eat,
● while using public transport,
● while people work,
● ...
So, permitting partial nudity, where the sexual organs and buttocks are hidden with some clothing, should represent an adequate arrangement for all humans.
We want to de-sexualize the breast of women. so they should remain uncovered.

What would we see if everyone went nude?

It would be awful, pure horror.
You'd see the most hideous and unfit race of animals on the planet.
Flabby skin, un-toned muscles, unshapely bodies, sickly people, ... humans are individually ugly.

Prudish behavior and public decency

We have been raised in cultures where nudity is condemned.
Just like you, I would be offended if I saw someone nude on the street.
But we have to accept that we weren't born that way.
Young babies have no problem with nudity and often want to remove all their clothing.
Our prudish reactions were inculcated into us by our parents and surroundings, but now we have to fight these behaviors.

Clothes lead to over-sexualisation

I'm talking here about the over-sexualisation of our sexual organs caused by our hiding them from sight with clothing.
Humans react much too strongly when they see an attractive nude person.
In my opinion, this exaggerated response originates in our convention to conceal these organs at all times.
This secretive attitude creates a fixation that would not exist if they were publicly displayed.
Erotic clothing only compounds the problem with a teasing attitude.
The situation is worse in the case of the female breasts which are not considered as sexual organs by other primates.
Mammary glands have a function; feeding babies and they should return to this role as much as possible.
Over-sexualisation produces uncontrolled reactions and abnormal comportment in matters where respect is essential.

A need for change

Grooming will signal a change in attitude.
As more people groom, they will find the need to remove, at least part, of their clothing.
We have to admit that clothes and fashion have become exaggeratedly important in our societies.
Naturists have found a way to promote respectful behavior, I'm sure we could all go in that direction.

If there is one thing that humans know they are fundamentally wrong about; it's nudity.
