Wearing clothes is a disaster for your skin
Skin is a living organ that needs to be exposed to air
Your skin is the largest organ you possess.
Human skin is similar to the skin of most other mammals, but it is very similar to pig skin.
What most people know about skin mostly comes from ads, posters, and advertisements.
When you study human skin; you recognize its complexity, and marvel at its properties.
However, once you understand how it works, you realize it's designed to be in constant interaction with its surroundings, adapting to them.
Your skin needs to breathe!
Clothes impede several vital functions
Wearing clothes interferes with the normal operation of many skin components, such as:
● TEMPERATURE REGULATION AND SWEAT
Human skin has one of the best cooling systems of all mammals.
But, it can't function when we're wearing clothes.
● THE NEED FOR SUN AND VITAMIN C
Skin needs direct sunlight to synthesize the essential vitamin C.
Instead, we rely on artificial substitutes.
● SKIN DESQUAMATION IS HAMPERED
The skin is meant to continuously shed its outer layers, replacing them with fresh cells.
Clothes protect and preserve old skin cells.
● PROTECTING THE BODY AGAINST PATHOGENS
The skin forms a barrier between the body and its environment, preventing the invasion of pathogens and chemical agents.
Unfortunately, clothing creates isolated areas that promote pathogens.
These confined spaces provide an ideal habitat for bacteria, of which there are approximately 1,000 species on the human body.
● OXYGEN ABSORPTION
The outermost skin cells are "almost exclusively supplied by external oxygen".
Clothes suffocate your skin.
Clothes damage the skin
You damage your skin just by wearing any kind of clothing, but the consequences are most damaging where it clings to your body.
Even the loosest garments rub, chafe and irritate the epidermis.
Don't forget that you're wearing them for hours.
Elastic bands, belts, stockings, bras, ... cut straight into the skin, and you can see the marks they leave when you take them off.
What you don't see is the permanent folding beneath.
Shoes can be major culprits.
If you feel any pain while you have them on, just imagine what torture your skin is enduring.
Wearing clothes has a perverse effect on our physical condition
Since humans hide their bodies behind clothes, taking care of them becomes less important.
Why should you be concerned about something that you and others never see?
By not presenting your body in public, you are removing it from scrutiny and avoiding any criticism.
People feel accepted, even if they are overweight or out of shape, because they have nice new clothes that hide it all.
In this sense, wearing clothes has had disastrous consequences for the physical condition of our race.
Clothes create a barrier between you and your body
Clothes prevent you from taking care of your body.
They hamper your natural urge to check manually what is bugging you.
When you groom yourself regularly, you become very frustrated by their presence.
Grooming depends on responding quickly, with your nails, to any sensation emanating from your skin.
