Muscle cramps are misnamed; they are cutaneous cramps
This explains why there has been no treatment until now
Cramps aren't caused by muscle contractions; they're caused by irritated skin fold crossings.

Check it out yourself
The next time you get a cramp, don't miss your chance to check this out.
Use your nail to search your skin until you find the exact spot where the cramp originates.
You'll notice some kind of skin defect at that place, most often in the form of a depression.

As you can imagine, the intersection between two folds will form some kind of crater in its center.
You want to open it up.
The best way to do so is to crush it repeatedly with your nail.
Place your nail directly in the depression and apply all the pressure you can without hurting yourself.
Repeat, repeat and repeat again.
If your case is severe, you'll have to do this often, for several weeks, before getting rid of the cramps.
What are fold crossings?
Your body is crisscrossed by cutaneous folds.
Some are horizontal, some are vertical, while others swerve or go diagonally.
But, one fold won't go far before it intersects with another fold.
That's a fold crossing.

Can you spot some fold crossings?
Many cannot be seen.
The fold crossing crater forms a deep chimney that dives deep into whatever is beneath the skin: muscles, tendons, bones, articulations, ... and the skin becomes attached to those locations.
Fold crossings become painful because your activities pull on them over and over.
People think that their muscles are to blame because they've been activating them just before the cramp.
In fact, it's the skin itself that bursts into a cramp.
If you press your nail on the place where you feel the cramp, you'll find a fold crossing.
When to treat your cramps
You can take action on-the-spot or afterwards.
-ON THE SPOT: Applying pressure on the skin with your nail will eliminate the cramp.
However, many people won't have the courage to do this.
-AFTERWARDS: If a cramp annoys you because it occurs often, take the time to apply pressure on its location while you're not in pain.
With time, you'll feel your nail open up the fold crossing; thus removing the tension inside the skin.
Cramps will occur less and less frequently, then disappear.
Humans are pain cowards
Humans are pain cowards, and they're too scared to touch any painful area.

Muscles can't feel much and are incapable of producing the intense pain you experience when you suffer from a cramp.
The pain comes from the skin.
Cramp locations are simply fold crossing locations.
You can't study these phenomenons with microscopes.
You have flat nails to do so.
Grooming your skin to eliminate your pain
Cramps aren't the only pain you can get rid of by grooming your skin.
Pain in the feet, the knees, the hips, the back, the shoulders, the arms, the hands, ... can all be removed with your nails.

Be careful, go slowly and test groom
Some precautions and care must be taken when grooming your skin.
Grooming the affected areas may provoke unknown reactions.
Test-groom the regions for a few days before committing yourself to deeper work or exploration.
Be smart and go gradually.
Groom for short periods, several times a day.
